I am a Wockeez...

"Man is not what he thinks he is, he is what he hides..." ~ Andre' Malraux

Hey everyone,

I am tired, been up since 4.30 a.m. and have been in the office since 5.30 a.m. to prepare for court at 9.00 a.m. I have missed my usual woken up by Airiel with kisses session *growl*

Tetiba diorg bagitahu kes kul 11.00. Bapakkkkkk

Anyways, did I ever tell you guys I am a fan of dance crews? They simply amaze me. My favourite dance crew EVER is the Jabbawockeez. I have been a fan of them since their early days when they started out. They have their own show at the Luxor now, which I must go see one day. It's on my bucket list

Watch this video and you'll know why.

*Mulut Ternganga*

They have their own album in collaboration with the Bangerz. The music you hear in this video is from that album.

They have come up with a short video called 'Regenerate'. Awesome.

Alright. Enjoy now

Peace and love to everyone.

The Amethyst, Solaris Dutamas

"I have walked that long road to freedom. I have tried not to falter; I have made missteps along the way. But I have discovered the secret that after climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb. I have taken a moment here to rest, to steal a view of the glorious vista that surrounds me, to look back on the distance that I have come. But I can only rest for a moment, for with freedom come responsibilities, and I dare not linger, for my long walk is not ended" ~ Nelson Mandela

Hi readers,

My food posts insyaAllah will resume. Not really better appetite, but when I do eat I try and take pics to share with you guys so you can go try it out.

The other day I tried a new restaurant in Solaris Dutamas, The Amethyst.

My colleague's order, the braised Lamb Shank. The meat was so tender it was literally falling off the bones and melted in your mouth. No complaints here.

I had the chicken with pesto and rice. I know fried chicken and pesto sounds like a weird combination but trust me it worked. My only complaint was that maybe the chicken was a tad bit dry.

The Amethyst is located on the same row as Dr. Cafe at Solaris Dutamas. Go check it out.

Have a good week ahead.

Peace and love to everyone..

My Night Cream

"You have to understand. I am no one special. I am just one person. I am in-between in every way. But I have a secret. You can build walls all the way to the sky and I will find a way to fly above them. You can try to pin me down with a hundred thousand arms, but I will find a way to resist. And there are many of us out there, more than you think. People who refuse to stop believing. People who refuse to come to earth. People who live in a world without walls, people who love into hate, into refusal, against hope and without fear. I love you. Remember. They cannot take it" ~ Lauren Olivier

Happy Friday everyone.

This is also another request from a reader. He (yes, NOT she) wanted to know what night cream I use haha. Baiklah.

I actually do not use SKII at night.

I use Olay White Radiance Night Restoring Cream.

I have actually been using Olay products since I was in my teens since Olay products are affordable and also suits my uber dry skin. I find that this cream goes on a bit dense at the beginning so use sparingly but then when you wake up in the morning, it is pretty awesome. Skin feels moisturised and supple and you're ready to go for the rest of the day.

Since we are on the Olay product subject, I also use this.

I use it under my SKII skin signature cream. I find that it gives you a nice dewy glow (cheewah, I don't even know what that means!! haha).

Alright.

Have a good weekend ahead.

Peace and love to everyone.

Erti Rindu...

"I try to lie but it isn't me..I try to look but I can't see.. I can't stop right now because I'm too far...
and I can't keep going because its too hard..." ~ Flipsyde

Hi everyone.

This post is for one of my readers. She wants to frame up a picture of her son's grave and put it in her cubicle at her office. People are saying she's going nuts or being inappropriate, things like that. She asked me, should she do it? Is she being weird? She says when she looks at the picture, she feels like he is close to her, but nobody seems to understand that.

But I do...yes, I do.

Tuesday evenings I reserve for Akif these days. Leave the office and see him. Baca Yassin, tell him my updates for the week. Whats happening at work, whats happening with his big brother at school. I ask him hows things are up there. I find graveyards peaceful. Birds chirping, wind blowing, its never too hot or too cold. The uncles that take care of the graveyard, they expect me to come every Tuesday. They know my name, they know Akif's name, what happened to him. They smile and laugh with me, they have cried with me. They keep me company when they see I need it, they give me space when they know I must have it.

You know, its my way of coping. I think when you lose someone permanently in your life, when they die, all you want is to feel close to them. That they are still somehow close and connected to you. And this is my way.

For those who have lost someone, find your own way to cope. It might be strange to others, it might be morbid, it might cause discomfort, ruffle a few feathers. But this is who you are. Your burden to bear. You have to ease it your own way. I never expect people to understand why I do the things I do when it comes to my relationship with Akif. What I experienced with him, only him and I will know.

Kerinduan itu, tiada satupun yang mampu mengertikannya...

I hope this answers your question love.

Much love from me and Airiel.

Weekie - Empire Hotel, Subang Jaya

"Happiness is not a goal ... it is a by-product of a life well lived" ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

Hello readers!

Happy Monday everyone. Below is a roundup of my weekie:-

A surprise gift I got from an unknown. Went to Citta Mall Dr. Cafe and barristas passed me this, someone asked them to give this to me whenever I came. Thank you stranger for this and may Allah bless!!

He is more myself than I am, whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are one and the same...

Empire Hotel, Subang.

Pros: Decor was modern and simple. Room and bathroom was replete of full length mirrors. The room was awesome and the food was good.

Cons : I hated the lifts with an abiding passion! It took forever to go from one floor to another, and if your room was on one floor, you cannot access other floors because your access card won't allow it. So it was a pain for me to go to Airiel's room on the 5th floor since my room was on the 4th floor. Not practical at all. Please change the lifts!!

And look at what was waiting for me at the office this morning!!

I am truly truly blessed.

As a friend said to me. Remember that. Remember 96:4

Thank you Allah, for this ease.

Your servant is truly content.

Have a good rest of the week everyone!!

Symbols [Part 2]

"Symbols can be so beautiful, sometimes" ~ Kurt Vonnegut

Hello readers!

Happy Friday everyone.

Remember I promised you that I will update you on the charms I would buy to symbolise Akif? On 2nd February 2014, it marked a year since Akif passed and went on to a beautiful place in heaven.

To remind me that Akif is now in a better, beautiful place with the angels in heaven. I do not have to worry about you anymore. :)

To remind me of the difficult and painful yet beautiful pregnancy I had carrying this angel child, my Akif who was here to teach me to be strong.  His heart beats through mine, then and now, his life was one with mine, then and forevermore. Interlocking hearts seemed perfect.

Alright readers. Have a good weekend!

Much love from me and Airiel...

Fabric Addict

"No medicine cures what happiness cannot" ~ Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Hello readers,

My besties would know that I am crazy about fabric. It is an obsession I inherited from Nenda hahaha.

These are the recent fabrics I sent to my tailor, to her apparent swooning headache on the design for them all.

I decided to either do baju kurung biasa for work or baju kurung pahang on some of the designs. What I find though is that its hard for you to find a tailor that can do baju kurung moden these days.

My ready made kurungs and stuff I buy from SACC, Jeddan usually.

These days, I buy nothing unless it has the 'Airiel' seal of approval. Yes, Airiel decides what I buy, and he even picks out what I wear to go to work hari hari. Its so much fun!!

Alright readers.

Later.

Much love from me and Airiel!!

Groupon Deal - Authentic Swiss Technology Skincare - Kelana Jaya

"While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about" ~ Angela Schwindt

Hi readers,

Next up, is my next groupon massage deal. I went with bestie Huda Z for this one. This was quite sometime ago.

I picked the Kelana Mall branch for the massage. It was RM38 for a 2 hour massage and scrub thrown in.

It was an Indonesian massage. At some points it was quite painful (which you guys know I like right? haha)

If there is one complaint though was that the air-conditioning was too cold and I was shivering half the time and the location was a bit hard to find (it is located at the back portion of a hair salon).

Other than that the massage was great and I was satisfied.

What I really like about this particular shop is that they don't ask you to buy their packages or anything like that (which I always end up buying because I have issues saying no huhu). They gave me the above card and retained the same price. And that was it!

Contact details are as the above picture.

There has been a lot of emails asking me for updates on certain things, travel plans, clothes I buy, Akif, Airiel, SKII.  Thanks a lot for your support and I will try and update daily on the things you readers want. I am trying to respond to all emails as well.

Much love from me and Airiel!!

It's All About US

"People speak sometimes about the 'bestial' cruelty of man, but that is terribly unjust and offensive to beasts. no animal could ever be so cruel as a man, so artfully, so artistically cruel" ~  Fyodor Dostoyevsky

If they hurt you

They hurt me too

So hold on tight

Hold on to me

Because it's all about us

It's all about us

This is one thing they can never touch

It's all about us...
