What is this I hear about limiting nasi lemak at school canteens?
You have got to be kidding me. I am offended. It brings back nostalgic memories of my youth where I used to eat nasi lemak every lunch time at my school canteen. (except when I was living in the UK for some odd 5-6 years lah, where the school food is even worse, i mean have you seen Jamie Oliver's food revolution documentary? Believe it! [By the way, that is why I said I have been overseas pasal isu minyak haritu...because I have in actual FACT lived overseas, hehehe...take that you fisher uncle otak tak kembang you! hahaha]).
Bonda and Maksu used to eat nasi lemak everyday and we were never fat kids, or the correct terminology would be 'unhealthy BMI' kids.
But we did not eat the fast food (you know which eateries I am talking about right? Cannot put it here lest I be sued for defamation!), crisps and only had ice-cream on very rare, rare occasions. In other words, we did not eat fast food until we were well in our late teens and only very rarely eat junk food. I am all for banning junk food and fast food at schools, but leave my nasi lemak alone!!!
Nasi Lemak is not junk and it is not fast food! Sob sob...
The country has gone to shreds I tell you! Shreds!
Maybe I shall show my protest by putting a banner in this blog or my Stevie stating 'SAVE OUR NASI LEMAK' or something..
Sigh, I am patriotic like that (*grin*)

ReplyDeletepagi ni i dengar radio cakap ada cadangan untuk nasi lemak dijual di sekolah 2 kali seminggu je. instead of banning nasi lemak, they should ban junk food la. mengarut je.
ReplyDeleteI know right? Inilah budaya malaysia skrang, salah nyamuk, kelambu dibakar! Save our nasi lemak!!
