I need to do this update because I realised that without my blog, I would have completely forgotten about the spa packages I have bought everywhere. Like everywhere. Random kay. Tapi best.

Anyway, the other day I went to redeem a Groupon spa deal. This was yonks ago I think. In January.

It was a 2 hour spa with a:-

(a) Swedish Masssage;

(b) Hydro Therapy Bath (which I switched to a Sauna instead); and

(c) A body Scrub ( I chose the Strawberry Scrub),

I added on a Strawberry Mud treatment for RM21 I think.

The massage was relaxing as opposed to painful. So I asked it to be a bit harder and it was quite good. I always love saunas so that was lovely.

The highlight of the spa was definitely the Strawberry Scrub and Mud. Made my skin super supple and soft afterwards.

My only one complaint was that the shower stall in my room was faulty. Other than that, the spa was pretty, clean, private. Get complimentary drinks before, during and after spa session.

I of course, with style..kenala beli package strawberry tu kan. Hadoii.

Next up, is my next groupon massage deal. I went with bestie Huda Z for this one. This was quite sometime ago.

I picked the Kelana Mall branch for the massage. It was RM38 for a 2 hour massage and scrub thrown in.

It was an Indonesian massage. At some points it was quite painful (which you guys know I like right? haha)

If there is one complaint though was that the air-conditioning was too cold and I was shivering half the time and the location was a bit hard to find (it is located at the back portion of a hair salon).

Other than that the massage was great and I was satisfied.

What I really like about this particular shop is that they don't ask you to buy their packages or anything like that (which I always end up buying because I have issues saying no huhu). They gave me the above card and retained the same price. And that was it!

I have yet to blog about my recent groupon massage experience.

There was a groupon for a 75 mins Jing Luo massage for RM38 so I decided to try it out. Here is the link.

I asked my partner in crime, Farah Shu to come along.

Now, Jing Luo massage is a deep tissue massage... which means only one thing, it hurts like hell. And hurt like hell it did.

But you know me, when it comes to massages I LOVE pain. 'Give me all the pain' I said to the masseuse. They have a contraption which they use for the massage that is supposed to get to your deep layer tissue or something like that.

But what I find weird is, despite the pain I actually fell fast asleep 15 mins into the massage. I also added on cupping for RM10 which was also a pleasant, painful surprise. What they did after taking all the air out of the cups is spectacular, they actually pulled it across your skin very fast in various motions and let me tell you, it was PAINfully glorious.

I know the word pain, pleasant, spectacular and glorious don't actually go together, but somehow Hers Club has managed to do this, because after massage and  the cupping, my body felt so much lighter. I would do it again, definitely.

Warning : For those who cannot stand pain, then Jing Luo perhaps is not for you. For hardcore massage enthusiasts like me, it was awesome.

Groupon Deal - Holistics Esthetics Solaris Dutamas

It's a Friday!!

Yesterday I went for a quick rest and relax at a spa in Solaris Dutamas, Holistics Esthetics in Solaris Dutamas. There was a groupon for RM 38 where you will get a 1 hour 45 mins hot stone and back massage. So I decided to give it a try.

The masseuse was a Malay and she had strong fingers. I love my massages strong and absolutely loved it. There was pain, but man...it was GOOD pain and I just told her to keep going. She touches and smoothes out the knots in your back, your shoulder blades, your neck.

You feel absolutely refreshed after the massage.

Awesome.

As usual, everytime I enjoy a massage, I end up buying their packages la kan. So I ended buying a mixture of 2 of their signature massages, the hot stone massage that I tried and their signature wax massage (where they melt specially made moisturizing wax and massage you with it).

Haiyaaa. Terjebak.

Anyways, they also have other branches in KL and one in Mont Kiara. Do give it a try.

Groupon - Embrace Beauty Spa

Sorry for being quiet for a while. I had a busy week in Mars and some other places for Aidiladha. How was your Aidiladha holidays? Hope it went well and you had a meaningful sacrifice.

This is not the purpose of my post today. I wanted to share with you another pleasant experience I had with another Groupon massage deal. It was RM38 for a 3 hour spa at Embrace Beauty Spa which consists of:-

(i)   Herbal drink ( I didn't get to enjoy this, I was fasting huhu);

(ii)  A 20 min hot blanket treatment (kind of like a sauna but under a blanket);

(iii) A 20 min detox body scrub;

(v) A 20 min hydrobath in a jacuzzi;

(vi) A 45 min body massage;

(vii) Ear candling; and

(viii) Hand paraffin treatment.

A bargain is an understatement right?

I bought the package for 2 which totals to about RM70 for 2 and brought Bonda along.

What I loved about the place was the 45 min massage. It was strong. It was a memorable massage compared to other spas I have been to. The therapists were friendly.

This was also the first time I did ear candling. What they did was light up some cone shaped thing and put it in your ear. Apparently the therapist told me that its good to stabilize the air in your ear and stuff. Oh well, what the heck. It felt awesome.

The jacuzzi treatment was also great, although going into a hot tub with Bonda was slightly arkward hahaha.

A 3 hour bliss experience I would say.

And, we had such a good time, that...you guessed it. We bought a package. Haiyaaa...

We bought 6 treatments of all the above for RM546. So that totals to about only RM91 per treatment. Apakah? It is out of this world.

How is your Monday? I am rushing work but am trying to make time for this post.

I have to make some comments on the Groupon Deals which I have bought recently. This time it was a mani pedi groupon deal.

I bought a mani pedi groupon deal for RM60 + for 2 mani padi. I brought Bonda along as my partner in crime.

Verdict?

Location : Located on the 2nd floor of Tropicana City Mall opposite the Creative Nail Boutique which I frequent. So it is convenient with ample parking.

Ambiance : The place, truth be told was small. It can only fit only 2 people for mani pedi at one time.

The Mani Pedi itself : I loved it!! I mean, minus how small the place was, the mani padi service was top notch. We had buffing for no extra charge, the massage on my arms and legs was good. And the buffing was one of the better ones I have had and I have been to a lot of mani pedi places ok? And the plus was also the manicurists' service. They were uber friendly and we were chatting away in no time ( I know this may be a minus to some people out there, they prefer not to chat but I loved this kind of service) .

It impressed me so much that me and Bonda ended up buying a package for ourselves to come next time. There is a promotion currently. Buy a mani pedi package worth more than RM300 and get a free OPI hand lotion.
