Berpoligami cara Nabi - Facts you MUST know

Hello readers,

Following the posting on Dayana's poem to Ashraff, the husband who cheated on her (Yes, he did..let's call a spade a spade ok?), some of my readers have asked me to share my knowledge of some of the misconceptions surrounding polygamy practised by our beloved prophet s.a.w.

What I am about to share are simply facts, which I have learned throughout my tenure in Sekolah Agama in my secondary school, and is not meant to offend anybody. I must state though that the understanding of the Malay society and men mostly (ustaz-ustaz di luar sana not excluded) are very male biased, and rarely touches on how faithful our prophet was to his 1st wife, but instead focuses on how polygamy is allowed and just that, not explaining the problems that the prophet faced throughout his life due to his polygamous marriages.

To read the yourself, find the books Rahiqul Makhtum and Sirah Sahabiyah.

Misconception 1 - The prophet was always a polygamous man

This is simply untrue. The prophet remained monogamous to his 1st wife, Khadijah r.a. for 25 years of his life, until the day his 1st wife passed away. So faithful was he that he did not even take on a female slave as you could have sexual relations with your slave at the time.

He grieved for a long time thereafter before he married Saudah and Aisyah at pretty much the same time but lived with Saudah as Aisyah was very young at the time of the marriage.

Even after he married the rest of his wives, he reminisced and missed his monogamous happy times he had with the late Khadijah, so much so that he caused immense jealousy among his other wives, particularly Aisyah.

He was only in a polygamous marriage for the last remaining 10 years of his life.

Misconception 2 - His wives has no problems with the prophet practising polygamy

This is of course untrue, but like I said, rarely brought up or taught to the men in our society. The story often stops at the prophet practising polygamy and as such, you can too. But the problems the prophet had throughout his polygamous marriages are often not highlighted to show and/or demonstrate to the men that it is no walk in the park and involves heavy responsibility and often induces conflict and disharmony.

Example 1 - The prophet was at the time married to both Saudah and Aisyah. He was so fearful of not being able to be fair to both, that he wanted to divorce Saudah as he knew in his heart he loved Aisyah more. It was only after Saudah agreed to give away her 'giliran bermalam' to Aisyah did he relent and not proceed with the divorce.

Example 2 - It was said by Anas that at one time, Aisyah and Zainab (the prophet's 4th wife) was heard arguing at the top of their voices. So loud was  their argument, that Abu Bakar who was walking pass, could hear their fight. Abu Bakar was so incensed that he called out to the prophet to come outside the house and pour soil into their mouths (figure of speech you understand - basically what he meant was he wanted the prophet to stop the argument) to which Aisyah answered that the prophet was praying, and so Abu Bakar (Aisyah's father) ended up scolding Aisyah saying 'Why are you doing this?'

Example 3 - So jealous was Aisyah of Zainab that at one point of time Zainab went to visit to Aisyah's house. At that time, there was no fire lighting Aisyah's house and the prophet held Zainab's hand by accident to which Aisyah screamed and scolded the prophet saying 'that is Zainab!' until he withdrew his hand.

Example 4 - So jealous of Zainab was Aisyah that at one time, she planned a plot with Hafsah (the prophet's 3rd wife). The plot involved every other wife saying to the prophet everytime he met them after seeing Zainab that the prophet's mouth smelled bad and asking what he ate to make his mouth smell so bad, to which he said, 'I have just been to Zainab's house and drank some honey, and I will not drink honey made by her again'. This was a ploy to get the prophet to disfavour Zainab. This plot was the reason the phrases 1-4 in Surah At-Tahrim was send down by Allah swt to expose the plot.

Example 5 - Aisyah would often get angry with the prophet out her jealousy. So much so that everytime she is angry with the prophet she couldnt even bring herself to say his name. She would instead say 'No, in the name of God of Ibrahim!' as opposed to when she is not angry, to which she would say 'In the name of God of Muhammad!'

Example 6 - Aisyah would also known to have exclaimed and said in sadness in one of her bouts of jealousy when the prophet married another wife the following while putting her feet in daun idzkir (which is a thorny plant) 'Ya Allah, please set forth the snakes and scorpions to beset me. Your prophet, I know not what he is doing and I am powerless to do anything'.

Example 7 - Aisyah has also been known to make fun of Hafsah and Shafiyah (the prophet's 9th wife counting in Khadijah) in front of the prophet

Example 8 - Hafsah is known to be in cohorts or at odds with Aisyah to compete for the prophet's affection. Her biggest mistake was to expose one of the prophet's secret (which was told to only her) to Aisyah because she was so jealous of the prophet's affection to Mariyah (the prophet's 10th wife including in Khadijah) . This resulted in her being divorced with 1 talak.

Example 9 - Zainab binti Jahsy (the prophet's 7th wife including in Khadijah) is the only wife married to the prophet by Allah through 7 layers of the sky. Aisyah was so very jealous of. Anas said that this fact was something that Zainab loved to boast about to the other wives. She liked to make fun and/or offend Shafiyah (as Shafiyah was the daughter of a Jewish man), so much so that she evoked the anger of the prophet for a long time.

Example 10 - Aisyah was so jealous of Juwairiyah (the prophet's 8th wife including Khadijah). that she said [See Hadis Sahih Muslim, hadis Urwah from Aisyah] 'By Allah, I hated her from the moment I saw her from my door'.

Example 11 - The biggest conflict of all arose when Mariyah gave birth to Ibrahim, which evoked extreme jealousy from the rest of his wives as he had no children with them. Mariyah was also very beautiful and this made things worse. So bad was the conflict and jealousy between his wives that it caused extreme stress to the prophet. So much so that he isolated himself from ALL his wives for a month. He isolated himself in a small room and became extremely emaciated and considered divorcing all his wives. He was only persuaded by Umar to calm down and rethink his position 29 days later.

There are just so many instances I cannot list them all down. Make no mistake that this is not meant to embarrass the respected wives of the prophet or the prophet. They were pious women, that had their good sides which cannot be disputed and have all been blessed by Allah swt. and was respected and loved by the prophet. These facts exist to show that no matter how gentle a woman is or pious a woman is, she is a woman nevertheless and there will be jealousy and extreme conflict arising every so often in polygamous marriages.

Misconception 3 - His children with Khadijah had no problems with their stepmothers

Again, this is untrue. The children the prophet had with Khadijah (all the children he has are from his marriage to Khadijah save for one) grew up in a peaceful conducive environment as the prophet never married another throughout his marriage with Khadijah.

It was said by Aisyah herself that once, the prophet entered her house to find her crying and so she asked Aisyah why? Whereupon Aisyah answered 'Fatimah insulted me' and so the prophet took steps to patch the relationship and ease the fight.

How now?
How many men in our society know these facts I wonder? They should be forwarned before thinking about 'nak seronok' je boleh berjimak dengan ramai wanita if you know what I mean. And I think what Ashraf Muslim did was totally unislamic, he kept his 2nd marriage a secret. The prophet never kept any of his marriages secret.

Alright readers, I hope those who pm me are satisfied with what little info I can provide.

Have a good weekend ahead.

Puisi Nukilan Dayana untuk Ashraf Muslim

Hi readers,

I suppose everyone knows that the Ashraf Muslim (yang ala-ala alim tu y'all) pergi kahwin buat kali kedua di Thailand.

His first wife Dayana was crushed upon finding out after she found his itinerary in his travel bag.

On Dayana's facebook page today, she posted a poem which I will share as it touches my heart:-

"Tak usah bicara tentang payung emas
Kerana
Aku belum layak iktiraf diri sesuci khadijah atau fatimah

Tak usah bicara tentang zuriat
Kerana
Aku bukan Allah...mudah menyebut kun fa ya kun...

Tak usah bicara tentang setia
Kerana
Aku pasti kau tahu aku bukan perempuan jalanan

Tak usah bicara tentang tanggungjwb
Kerana
Aku tahu kau lebih arif tentang itu

Tak usah bicara tentang kesempurnaan
Kerana
Aku terima kekurangan kau kerana Allah

Tak usah bicara tentang dia
Kerana
Aku diasingkan darimu kerana dia

Sucinya aku, kau miliki ketika di Makkah
Hebatnya dia, kau sembunyikan ketika di Thailand..

Berhenti beralasan ini semua jodoh ketentuan Allah...
Kerana satu dunia tahu
Hanya itu lah jawapan mudah utk lepaskan kekhilafan yg disengajakan..."

MasyaAllah, I can feel how her heart is broken....

Ya Allah, help her...help all of us wanita yang teraniaya oleh lelaki lelaki sebegini...

Amin...

Dealing

I am starting to think that I might have an actual problem dealing with Akif's death and the problems in my life right now.

Some people deal with just death of their children, some have other problems. I had to deal with both at the exact same time.

I can't eat the way I used to. I no longer enjoy food and I am no longer passionate about it the way I used to be. I'm sorry readers. This explains why there is less or no food posts for a while now. Colleagues in the office have to literally force me to eat. I survive on a pure diet of coffee and nothing else most of the time.

Sleep is a nightmare for me. I can only sleep when I am alone. I am plagued by nightmares, none of which I can remember when I wake up.

Babies, other babies, of friends, of relatives, of strangers.. born beautiful and healthy reduce me to tears most of the time. It's not that I get jealous or anything. It just reminds me of what I do not have.

It reminds me of how much I miss Akif. It reminds me that there are some things in my life that can no longer be fixed. That I do not want to hold on to it anymore. And yet people expect me to.

You know when Akif passed away, the doctors asked me if I wanted to see and hold him. I remember thinking to myself in the recovery room shivering from the anesthesia  a mere hour after the c-sect "I just went through a c-sect, is he really gone?" ... and I said NO. I said, "it's ok". Because I knew that if I saw him, that if I held him, I would not be able to let him go, the doctors would have to get security to pry him away from me.

The exact reason as to why he died (a mother always knows you know), I just can't let it go. Mmg takdir tuhan dia akan pergi, but the reason why, sabit sebabnya dia meninggal, that I will never be able to accept. I will never forget, and forgiving is impossible.

I really do think that some things are beyond redemption, some mistakes too grave to move past. I am giving everything one last shot, to tell myself that I did try. But deep in my heart I know that some things in my life are simply over. And there is no going back. That the limit has been reached.

I pray to Allah for strength...I pray that from now on it can be just Him and me. I pray that one day I will have passion for food again, because I used to enjoy it so much. I pray that one day, my sleep will be free from nightmares. I pray that one day I will not look at every beautiful baby and feel this stab of pain to my heart. I pray that one day, I can find it in my heart to forgive.

But that day is not today. Not for a long time still...

5 Years of Marriage

Dearest Aries,

I am sorry I forgot to put up a post on our 5th anniversary!

Yes, it has been 5 years indeed last month, 30th!

“No long-term marriage is made easily, and there have been times when I've been so angry or so hurt that I thought my love would never recover. And then, in the midst of near despair, something has happened beneath the surface. A bright little flashing fish of hope has flicked silver fins and the water is bright and suddenly I am returned to a state of love again — till next time. I've learned that there will always be a next time, and that I will submerge in darkness and misery, but that I won't stay submerged. And each time something has been learned under the waters; something has been gained; and a new kind of love has grown. The best I can ask for is that this love, which has been built on countless failures, will continue to grow. I can say no more than that this is mystery, and gift, and that somehow or other, through grace, our failures can be redeemed and blessed.”

Lets put up with each other some more years, shall we? For nostalgia's sake, I am putting up this pic of us.

Ok lah. Ini bukan tempat berjiwang jiwang.

Biarlah sampai syurga ... (although you  know statistically 99 % of the population according to our religion will actually go to hell [well, at least at first] right?)

Ever the realist, pessimist (combination of both),
Wifey...

Marital Woes - You have a choice, MAKE it

I don't know why when friends ke org yg aku kenal tak berapa kenal sgt pun will ask me for advice when they have marital problems. Muka aku ni dah mcm kaunter tempat mengadu hal rumahtangga agaknya. Takpun maybe I just listen and never say anything, unless they ask me too and even when they do I tell them, do you really want to listen to what I have to say? I will ask them that at least 4 or 5 times and if they consistently say yes baru aku cakap.

What marriage does not go through problems, let me ask you that? Most problems are almost always of the same severity, only different in form and shape. And let me tell you perempuan these days sama naik je dengan lelaki dari segi keberanian, kegatalan dan ketidaksopanannya. The stories I have heard shocks even me these days, and I have been through my own hell to not be so easily surprised by anything anymore.

The problems range from money issues, to infidelity issues, to simply growing apart and not having the same feelings for each other anymore, to fertility issues.

Yang paling banyak org mengadu kat aku of course la pasal infidelity kan. And they ask me for my advice. And I always tell them, you have a choice. MAKE it.

And then they give me a funny look like what choice? And I tell them, you either stay or walk away. That is a choice, it may be a tough one to make, but you have to do it if you want to move on in your life. Wallow in your sorrow and grieve for a while, but then at some point of time or rather you have to pick up the pieces and make a decision whether your partner/gf/bf/spouse is worth sticking around for.

If he/she isn't, then leave. Get a divorce, get a time out. Kick him/her out of the house. Do not sit around and hang on to a situation and feel sorry for yourself for the next 50 years of your life while not doing anything.

If he/she is, and he/she is making efforts to change then forgive him/her. It is a simple as that. I have gone through major marriage problems in my life, details of which let me just keep to myself. It is nothing to be ashamed of. It is fact which I had to face. Grieve and lose sleep over. I look at my son  at the time and ask myself 'why?'. I look at my FIL and Aries' family history at the time and tell myself I should never have married a guy who was so genetically predisposed to this kind of behaviour. I felt sorry for my MIL and wondered how she put up with something which I find so unacceptable.

And then after all that grieving and wallowing and feeling sorry for myself, I had to make a decision. do I stay? Or do I leave? And believe you me, it was not an easy decision, so I asked Allah for help and help Allah did. For muslims, solatlah istikharah.

I made my decision. I stayed. I forgave ... and by forgiving I realised how much more of a person I was on the inside than Aries could ever be, because both he and I knew that if the situation was reversed, he would never have forgiven me.

What didn't break us has now made us stronger. It is a work in progress but I hope we will one day get there. I can only hope for the best.

And I moved on. You move on. We should all move on.

Same goes if you decide to have a divorce or leave. Get it done, forgive you partner/spouse (forgiving really does set you free) and start afresh. As much as the process of starting afresh again is painful, it is also a relief. And insyaAllah, you will find someone who will be better suited for you.

If you have money issues, you should talk to each other about it!

If you have fertility issues, work on it! Get yourself checked out, medically diagnosed and try and fix the situation.

If you feel like the spark is no longer there, spend more time with each other, take vacations. Have a romantic getaway. Make an effort to fall in love again. How fun would that be, to fall in love over and over again with the same person? mother/father of your children? someone to grow old with?

The truth might hurt, and talking about it might hurt even more. But to me, talking about it and finding a solution, means you are owning your pain and therefore exercising control over it.

The bottom line is everybody when confronted with a situation, have a choice. All they have to do is MAKE it.

Make that choice my readers, and I wish you all the best.

Enjoy the rest of the week!

P.S - Forgiving does not mean forgetting mind you. I do remind Aries on how mean and how much pain he caused me from time to time. And then, all of a sudden... I get a new bag! *Grin*

The Perils of Being a Wife These Days...

Read the yahoo malaysia news and wow, a wife has been stabbed for waking her husband up for subuh prayers!

My word, and then I also read that a man brought a woman to his clinic which he claims to be his wife ran away when the doctor pronounced her dead. Apparently there were strangulation marks around her neck.

Ayoyo, the perils of being a wife.

Itu tak termasuk other perils which includes but is not limited to;-

- Having the girlfriend of your husband call you up and scold you sbb she was getting dumped and dia rasa tak puas hati and she wants you to seek 'justice' for her (apakah?);

- In laws yg horror (and I tell you, I have heard all of them stories from the friends);

- Finding out your husband is gay and hearing him tell you "I was born in the wrong body" or something like that;

- Having a husband that beats you up and calls you 'derhaka' when you try to defend yourself;

- A husband who asks you to pay your own zakat fitrah (for real! this happened to Bonda's friend); and

- A husband who asks you this when you mintak duit belanja skit "Apa jadi dgn gaji hang yg bebanyak tu?"

Sheesh, ustaz kata senang jer nak masuk syurga kalau perempuan, taat je kepada suami. I once asked an ustaz who said that 'is it really that easy? have you seen how men have been acting lately?' and I proceeded to say the things that happened in the above list.

Obviously the ustaz was speechless afterwards.

I think it is clear that taat kepada suami itu suatu ujian yg sangat berat untuk seseorang isteri untuk penuhi, and that is why if women are able to do that, they can go straight to heaven, because it is just something which is so hard to fulfill. That is what I think.

I thank God I have a husband which I love enough to strive to be the best wife I can be to him. And I shall keep on trying. Hope Aries knows that hehe.

NO stabbing please! hahahaha

Kisah Tragedi Cinta Isteri

The writings below have been reproduced and taken from i love islam.

Pasangan kita seolah-olah menjadi 'orang lain'. Bukan dia yang kita kenal dahulu. Apakah ketika itu kita akan jadi panasaran? Habis segala laci, meja tulis, kereta atau begnya kita selongkar. Telefon bimbitnya, email, facebook dan apa sahaja milik peribadinya kita bongkar. Mencari dan menghidu kalau-kalau terdapat bukti kecurangannya. Siang malam diamuk gelisah. Kita bagaikan dirasuk.
Pada saat genting itu tekanlah butang 'pause'. Bertanyalah pada diri, apakah kita masih menaruh harapan? Jika jawapannya masih ya, maka nyalakanlah harapan itu – keep hope alife! Berusahalah untuk memperbaiki diri. Dakap cinta Allah erat-erat.
Itulah aku kini. Ku akui kesilapan ku dan aku sedang memperbaikinya dan aku ingin melupakannya...
Suami ku, aku masih menaruh harapan. Insya-Allah, kau masih sudi membantu aku untuk itu! Amin.

This is how I love

I know this is tacky..like super tacky...

But when I heard this song, it resounded ... this is me..this is how I love. I do not know about Aries, heck there are issues between us which I do not see it fit to mention here...

But this is how I love.

Cintaku 'kekal'. So I need to just type the lyrics down.

Kekal - Spider

Tidak percaya dan pernah aku menduga
Kasih terpisah dalam sekelip mata
Sukar untukku dimengerti
Berat untuk difahami
Mengapa mawarku berduri

Kau pelangi mengiringi gerimisku
Kau, kau di dalam hatiku
Kekal dalam ingatan
Kau semangat kasihku
Kekal sepanjang zaman
Kira kau dan aku
Satu hari nanti
Akan bersatu

Biar terbakar
Jiwa diperjalanan
Aku bersumpah pulang ke pangkuan

Kau cahaya menyinari duniaku
Kau, kau di dalam hatiku
Kekal dalam ingatan
Kau semangat kasihku
Kekal sepanjang zaman
Kira kau dan aku
Satu hari nanti
Akan bersatu..

It was 3 years ago today

Tak pernah sampai, namun tanganku sampai,
berdiri di daratan, namun aku lemas di dasaran,
suatu yang asing namun itulah ujian,
tali Allah jualah kita berpegang...

Happy 3rd Anniversary Suami

God Bless us..

Amin

Aries and Libra compatibility

Tahulah mende ni ngarut kan..

Tapi saje nak tgk je...

Anyways, here is what I found online on me and Aries' compatibility:-

"Aries Man and Libra Woman
Aries man and Libra woman may experience instant attraction when they meet for the first time. This attraction may last a little longer too, but whether it lasts for an entire time or not is an entirely different question. Both of them love intellectual stimulation, are extroverts, love to talk and face no difficulty in interacting with people. However, their temperament may be different somewhat; actually quite a lot. Her indecisiveness may make him lose his temper, while his aggressiveness might disturb her inner harmony. Here, adjustment is the keyword."

"Aries and Libra, Fire and Air, the warrior Mars and the Beautiful Venus... Moreover, you are opposite signs in the zodiac! (Libra is at six sun signs away from Aries.)

In just a few words? You either complete each other or compete against each other. There is no middle way with you two: it is all or nothing. But Fire needs Air, and since air also means wind, which likes playing with the fire flames, there is everything between you two rather than nothing.

Libra, as a sign of equilibrium (that (s)he always looks for), is very skillful when it comes to negotiation and (s)he knows how to bring peace in your life and how to incite you - as an Air sign, Libra communicates very well.

Unlike the impetuous and thoughtless Aries, Libra thinks objectively, progressively, and divides problems in smaller "parts" that are easier to "digest".

A born diplomat, loving beauty and showing the gentleness characteristic of the love symbolized by his/her tutorial planet (Venus), Libra is good at making long-term plans and contracts. To an Aries, this is an essential quality, because the native of this sign is a very good initiator, but not very efficient in carrying out plans."

"These two Signs share the great sexual attraction common to all Signs opposite in polarity. At the same time, though this pair's connection is amazing when it's good, it can be extremely challenging when it's bad. All polarities have energies that tend to tangle or knot if understandings can't be reached. As a combination, Aries and Libra are well-balanced. Charming, cultured Libra can teach brash Aries something about style. Libra prizes harmony in a relationship and will go to great lengths to maintain it. Aries is very decisive and can teach indecisive Libra about relying on intuition for answers. You both tend to be active, dynamic, mobile and assertive. Each one of you is special and leads something of a charmed life. Both Aries and Libra are usually positive, competitive, flamboyant, life affirming people. Enjoy some "naps" together.

Opposites attract, the old saying goes. Like many an old saying, there's a grain of truth to it. When Aries, the fiery Ram, rushes to embrace the polar opposite sign of Libra, the Scales, Mars and Venus come together in a passionate encounter. That's if the Scales can decide what to wear on a first date! However, if the Ram's desires take precedence, the Scales may not be wearing it for long. And Scales can be swept along by the Ram's delight in a new adventure. But will the adventure last?

When Aries and Libra come together in a love affair, the intrinsic polarity of the Zodiac is invoked. Aries and Libra are directly opposite one another in the Zodiac, 180 degrees apart. Each Sign possesses qualities that the other lacks; combined with Libra's natural yen for harmony, this can be a relationship that enjoys great balance. Aries is the Sign of Self while Libra is the Sign of Partnership, and the differences continue: Aries is impulsive, excitable and ready to jump right into something new and exciting, while Libra is indecisive, peace-loving and prefers a calm, smooth approach. Aries can learn from Libra that their own way isn't necessarily the best way. Essentially, if Aries wants to be happy, Aries needs to be first and best. Libra is a nice person and tends to be a bit more cultured and "better" than others. Usually, Libra is also diplomatic enough to keep your superiority complexes in check. The more that Libra becomes fair-minded, impartial and unprejudiced, the happier Libra becomes.

Aries, a Fire Sign and Libra, an Air Sign, are idealists and romantics, but the speed at which they proceed is a defining difference. Air feeds Fire, so the Scales will admire your independence Aries and bend for decisive action, just as you will be drawn to the Libran style and love of cooperation. Both signs have flair, a sense of drama and passionate concerns, so it will be a roller-coaster ride at first. However, Aries impulsive actions may soon clash with your Libran lover's tendency to weigh things up. Libra enjoys the moment of deliberation, where you'll just lose patience. You'll simply fail to understand the agony of indecision and equally the Scales may find your rashness rather wearing. Arguments will ensue if a clear understanding is not achieved. You must pace yourselves. Give in gracefully now and again, or you will learn that the Scales is also a Cardinal Sign and a force to be reckoned with. Aries is here to start something new, to go where no one else has gone and to do what no one else has done. The stars dare Aries to be a pioneer, a champion and a doer. Sexually, Aries has got some naturally hot stuff. Libra has the potential for much social intercourse and favourable public contact. To really thrive, Libra needs to be part of a loving, committed "marriage." You both like to start things and to take the initiative. You're each restless, energetic, outgoing, opportunistic and ambitious. Probably, you're both more busy than bored. Libra may need for Aries to cool it from time to time.

Libra's love of harmony extends to the environment, so a messy Ram may soon seem a blot on the landscape. Mutual effort at domestic harmony will be essential. While Libra loves vigorous debate, the Scales does not care for open conflict. Learn to sort things at the negotiation table, rather than on the field of battle. Aries is ruled by the Planet Mars and Libra is ruled by the Planet Venus. This is a great match, as these are the Planets of Passion and Love, respectively. Venus and Mars go well together as they're the two sides of the love relationship coin. They're universally recognized as male and female and this relationship is a good balance of masculine and feminine energy. Venus is about the beauty of romance while Mars is about the passion of romance. What a good combination! All things being equal, Libra prefers civil conversation. Libra usually does not find reason for raised voices or crude language at inappropriate times. Embarrassment can be an issue for Libra. Libra likes to ask for advice, but does not like to be told what to do. Libra needs a cushy job in a swish environment.

This combination will be at its best when joined by common interests and concerns, whether matters of belief, or creative endeavour. Such a bond will more readily allow each of you to see the value of the opposite view your partner contributes.
Overall, this can be an exciting match and one destined for greatness and longevity, as long as each of you remembers your partner has a key to the problem you can't solve. Without trust and reliance, Fire and Air will be all flash and dazzle until they fizzle out, so learn to rely on and trust one another. Then nothing will hold you back."

"A Libra is indecisive and self- indulgent, which can create problems in the married life. In case of a Libra and an Aries pair, the Libra is more of a thinker and takes decision, after considering both the pros and cons of the matter. Whereas, an Aries takes the decision, according to his convenience and likings, he is more inclined towards finalizing the decision, then thinking about its consequences. This can create a bit tiff in the marriage of the Aries and the Libra, due to the ego clashes between the two. In any case the bride and the groom need to understand that there is no space of ego in a married life. All marriages are to be based on the understanding and care shared between the two, which would help in the movement of the marriage relation in the right direction.

Once the above said problem is resolved, and both the Aries and Libra possesses, respect for each other and their married life, a strong bonding is said to develop between the two. The marriage relation of the Aries and Libra is based on a strong emotional bond, which binds the bride and groom for lifetime. A Libra is quite, whereas an Aries is lively and adventurous. These opposites of two are bound to add flavor to their lives. Also, it is believed that two people of opposite nature compliment each other's personality and let their married life, move on the right track of happiness.

With some adjustments and learning things from each other, a Libra and an Aries, is believed to live a happy married life. The patience and thoughtfulness of the Libra and the fun and adventurous behavior of the Aries will surely fill fun and enlightenment in the lives of the two. Horoscope compatibility of the Libra and Aries is positive and believed to flourish, once; both the bride and groom develop a sense of understanding and love for each other."

"Fiery Aries and Airy Libra have natural affinity though they are opposite signs. They can repel as well as attract If conflict arises, Aries triumphs while Libra becomes upset and leaves. Initially, there is often a strong physical or emotional attraction between these two. The archetypal Arian and his sexy sidekick -a real libran lass is a good duo. Librans will say they don't like the sound of that one bit, but once they get going, they'll enjoy every minute of it and the eroticism will awaken alll sorts of urges and surges inside them."

"There is a powerful initial attraction between these two opposites, for in certain areas each supplies what the other lacks. Both are fond of of sexual pleasures, but the Aries probably will try to go too far too quickly. The Libra is inclined to idealize everything and can lose all illusions. Later Libra will look for someone less demanding, and Aries will bind someone more adoring. The physical connection is possible, but only temporarily. The marriage is very rare."

"Aries man might look very stern but he is actually sensitive. He wants everyone to like him, even to love him family, friends, and strangers and naturally the woman he owns. He needs to be proud of the woman he loves, to be able to show her off and brag about her and chooses a woman who will fit the bill. The moment someone realizes him that he has been quite selfish, he will quickly apologize in order to cope with the guilt.

A Libran woman’s basic instinct is tact and thoughtfulness, which is usually blended nicely and equally with her own well-designed and controlled, forceful drive and aggressive nature. She probably will be superior to lots of other women, super bright and startlingly attractive, curvaceous and so forth; this woman will fit all of an Aries’s requirements. There are a very few people who can deal with the level of determination showcased by the Libra woman.
The Libra lady is quite a lot of woman. Very few men can cope with her powerful combination of masculine determination and delectable daintiness. But Aries man loves to take up any challenges that the Libra woman throws at him. If the Libra woman can adequately use her charm to influence the Aries man, he can reach great heights of success. She will hardly dry to dampen his enthusiasm through criticism and the Aries man loves this quality of hers, and in return he will patiently listen to the things that she wants to discuss about. If she uses her charm and patience to direct his flaming ambitions and incredible energies toward some worthy goal, he can become a crusader for all manner of goodness and glory.
They will find a lot of happiness through their physical relationship. The feminine nature of the Libra woman and the passionate nature of the Aries man create a great chemistry for the physical relationship. Her femininity and his masculinity harmonize beautifully and smoothly, in the most natural way. This man’s sexual image of himself is closely woven into his ability to be always right and emerge victorious in the eyes of the woman he loves. But if at any situation he feels that he have been rejected in any way, then he can become very cold towards the Libra woman. He must take the lead in their sexual togetherness, as in every other way. If she allows this, and understands the needs behind it, he’ll be the most sensitive, romantic, sentimental, affectionate, and passionate lover she could imagine.
Both Aries man and Libra woman love to lead their own way. A relationship will never work when there’s a constant battle over leadership, they’ll have to learn to be equals. They’ll have to learn to ride their horses side by side, as equals, not as superior and subordinate. The Libra woman should not try to manipulate the Aries man quite often because he can easily assess her intentions, and will stop complying with her wishes. At times the Libra women will feel that the she is losing the equilibrium in her life because the Aries man always influences her decisions, and the reason she complies with his wishes is only because she is in love with him. It’s the only way they’ll ever find the way back home into each others’ hearts when they’ve quarreled and both of them have been deeply hurt.
Aries man and Libra woman are totally divergent personalities but still they make a lovely pair. The Aries man likes the calmness exuded by the Libra woman. The Libra woman likes the way Aries man treats her and keeps her engaged in one thing or the other."

"Aries natives are frank, high-spirited, direct and candid. They make for enthusiastic and generous friends, but need to curb their competitive impuluses and the manner in which those impulses affect those around them. Subject of this Sign also need to learn how to temper their natural aggressiveness and use reason coupled with diplomacy when dealing with others. Generally, when it comes to friendships, these individuals get along better with members of their own gender rather than members of the opposite sex. Since those governed by Aries like to get their own way and often pit the wishes of self against what is best for any partnership, this can frequently lead to conflict. The capacity for deep affection should result in faithfulness with regard to both love and friendship, but these natives need to guard against an inclination toward jealousy and/or over-possessiveness. There is a strong belief here that "what is mine, is mine," which could easily manifest itself in an overly-dominating attitude toward certain family members.

Usually possessed with a high sex drive, individuals ruled by Aries make for passionate but fastidious lovers. However, there is a negative side to associations with others. Aries natives are easily irritated by slowness or moderation in companions and, though sensitive themselves, will often ride roughshod over the sensitivities of those around them. There is some difficulty here regarding an understanding the opposite sex, which can cause much misunderstanding and unhappiness when it comes to love affairs. The intensity of the Aries sexual urge can drive the individual who falls within this Sign's jurisdiction toward promiscuity and a counting of conquests. It can also trick its natives into an early and often unwise marriage which could end in disaster. In the home, Aries individuals will always want to be "top dog" and are extremely possessive of their mates, but not always the most faithful of partners themselves. Romantic Aries individuals usually have no need of "hearts and flowers" to give them that "warm and fuzzy" glow. Far more important to them is a partner who is equally strong and self-possessed...one who will challenge them to reach greater heights both mentally and physically. It also helps if the Aries' partner can handle the occasional fiery argument and become a master at the art of reconciliation.

In spite of the fact that the Aries nature is passionate one with a gift for loving deeply, these individuals do not wear their hearts on their sleeves. Although they themselves may not be good at expressing their love in words, they do adore hearing endearments from their loved ones and can listen to declarations of undying affection and everlasting fidelity with the most ardent appreciation. The greatest Aries weakness in affairs of the heart is a tendency to cross-examine and ask too many questions. Although these individuals are not in the habit of mincing words, it is important to be tactful with sweethearts or keep silent when things get out of hand. By being more tolerant, those governed by this Sign will find greater happiness. Aries natives are possessed with a red-hot energy which often proves irresistible...and is certainly never boring. They prefer to initiate relationships and the role of seducer comes to them quite easily. However, this sizzling "dance of romance" will only work on those strong enough to stay in the game. In short, and Aries individual desire a partner who can go toe-to-toe...whether it be over lunch or in the bedroom.

Due to a strong executive ability, Aries subjects usually do better on their own rather than by entering into any business partnership. However, they do need business associates to a degree and their best choice would likely be a native of Taurus. While Aries can team well with Sagittarius, Aquarius and Pisces, any of these are apt to profit more from the alliance unless the Aries individual is strongly dominant. Any business association between Aries and Capricorn or Aries and Scorpio may prove to be highly productive of problems.

Though usually insistent on strict discipline, Aries parents are highly devoted to their children, even to the point of laying down their own lives. In short, there is no more defensive or loving parent to be found within the entire Zodiac. "

"You’re opposite signs who can match up well, but you sometimes baffle one another, too. Aries rules the self and Libra rules relationships. Libra is a lover; Aries is a fighter. Your polar extremes can be a great complement if you borrow what the other does best. Rash, temperamental Aries could stand to give others the benefit of the doubt, to look before leaping—something the wise Judge does well. Languid, overly accommodating Libra can learn to speak up, say no, and take action instead of pondering the possible consequences for a year. Although your differences can be irritating, they also make you a well-rounded couple if you play them right.
When Aries needs to rant, patient Libra offers uninterrupted listening, capped with sage, sensible feedback. In return, Aries helps Libra overcome a mortal fear of conflict, teaching this sign how to stand up for his rights. As parents, or even business partners, you play the good cop/bad cop routine like seasoned pros. Just be willing to adjust your internal thermostats as needed. Hotheaded Aries will need to dial down the anger, lest all that concentrated emotion throw Libra’s scales off balance. Erudite Libra will need to descend from that lofty, cultured perch and take a bold risk. (No, Aries does NOT consider ten years a reasonable time to wait for an engagement ring—and never will.) Compromise is essential for you to find a rhythm."
