Bliss Boutique Hotel, Johor Bharu

Hello everyone,

Its Friday! Just wanted to share with you this new boutique hotel which I found in one of my many stays in JB for work. Frankly, I was tired of the big hotels because I have been to them all. So this was refreshing. You know what I loved about this hotel? Its so quirky and funky!

It has designer boutique rooms that each have different themes, meaning no one room is designed the same!
I got the 'Pink Fever' room.

It has a fridge, water, coffee and tea and has a bar sort or area with a stool here which you can lepak, all in your room

It has a separate 'duduk bersila' seating area to watch TV with magazines and all 

Love the quirky wallpaper! 

It has a small bathroom, but I love the funky wallpaper again! 

Basic amenities

And its feature wall is a lovely raspberry colour! Yummy

Ok, it is not a 5 star hotel so do not expect the normal luxuries of one, it has a small bathroom so I would not recommend it for families either. For couples it is great! Their website is here.

A Day in JBC

Was in JBC yesterday for a matter which had a positive outcome. Alhamdulillah.

Anyways, Aries was kind enough to take me on another gastronomic escapade and we had lunch at 6 corner senibong food. Yummms! Let the pics speaks for themselves!:-

 The Siput Sedut Lemak Cili Api, which is apparently a specialty here. The gravy was delicious but you have to be careful with the siput sedut, some of them were bad. But it really is a matter of luck really, as you can't really tell if the siput is still ok to eat until you taste it

Aidiladha in JB

Aries tak dapat cuti...so I came down to JB instead..Airiel pulak raya di KL bersama nenda, bonda and atuk...

Alangkah sunyinya beraya berdua sahaja...

Have not been to JB in quite a while...and during my 2 day 1 night stint, I immediately remembered why I left in the first place...

We went to watch Harry Potter and believe it or not, these things happened inside the cinema:-

1.  2 sets of parents brought their babies into the cinema...the babies could not have been more than 2 months old from the looks of it.  Whenever there was a dramatic scene, the babies would be disturbed by the loud sounds and cry. I mean, I ain't no doctor but I would have thought that exposing such loud sounds to barely 2 months old babies would damage their hearing... when i just got pregnant in JB, i remember going to a movie and seeing the same thing...is this the norm here?

2.  Just before the movie started an older chinese woman and younger chinese male teenager who was seated side by side got themselves into a heated argument... it was so bad that the woman was screaming obscenities and the male kept screaming 'shut up'. I felt like screaming myself; and

3.  The movie attendants actually asked me for my ticket in the middle of the movie because 2 teens claim we took their seats. I was so angry. I asked the attendant to check their tickets first...but NO, he still wanted to take mine. When he checked theirs (which he should have done first anyway) he found that the movie tickets they bought was for the 12.15 movie while mine was at 11.45. Idiot!!! Andthese teens came in at 12.15 claiming we took their seats. Helo tak baca tiket sendiri ke ngok!!!

4.  In the rush to find my movie tickets which was buried somewhere inside my huge handbag..I dropped the parking ticket and Aries ended up having to pay 25 for the lost ticket..!!!

ONLY IN JB I tell you!!!!

Aside from remembering why I hate the place, I also remembered the parts that made the place bearable i.e. the FOOD!!!

Friday's the day

Not a lot of updates lately..

Been really busy with work..

Last week I flew down to JB *gasp* to sign off for Aries. He bought a car *winks*. So congrats on your new ride babe..

Coming back to JB, was at Jusco Tebrau to watch a movie 'Public Enemies' which is loosely based on the life of notorious robber "John Dillinger". It was alright..it was Aries' kind of movie, not really mine..anyways..apparently my beloved Blackie was broken into and guess what they took? My luggage bag of all things..we actually had a tabung placed in the car which was full of cash to bring to the bank later..and it was in plain sight ok? But they left that apparently..

Humphh..habis cermin belakang belah tepi pecah..cehhh..this was around 4.30 in the evening..my flight was at 7...after making police report semua...jumpa polis and all..we reached the airport at 6.30..I ran for dear life to the counter to check in..skali diorg reject..I was traumatised..called Aries who was on his way back already..anyway..he came back..and guess what..since dia DPP lah konon, diorg boleh plak bagi aku check in..

Three words "WTF?"

Its amazing how these things get you places..how positions in life can make people treat you differently...
