My Top 5 Most Addictive Mobile Games

Hey guys,

Its been a while since I wrote. I have been busy up to my neck with work and was in Court almost every day this week.

Anyways, I have been playing all these games on my phone. I have 2, an android and an iphone. So I have games on both these platforms which I am obsessed with right now. These are my top 5.

5. Dragon Bane

I would be going too far to say its an RPG you know what I mean? But its really fun and passes the time. It has a cool multiplayer slot where you can fight with other fighters at certain times, called Events.

You level up, train, improve your armor and skills and go on quests given by characters in the game.

You go to taverns and goss and search for new companions to join your party as the game progresses. Its pretty cool.

4. Castle Story

Fancy having your own kingdom right in your mobile phone? Hehe. This is a really cool game. You build your kingdom from scratch, trade with other places. Fulfill quests.

Super fun

3. Dragon Story

I love this game! You get to breed and build a dragon city all by yourself. You start off with normal dragons and then have more rare dragons as time passes when you cross-breed them.

The dragons can go on quests for you to get special rare items you need, you can trade the dragons you breed at the trading portal in the game.

The possibilities are endless. Absolutely addictive.

2. Candy Crush

Who for the love of God, does not play Candy Crush? You have to love this game. The object is simple and depends on the stage you're on. Clear the Jelly! or get a certain highscore in 40 moves or something like that.

An absolute must play for those long waiting times in Court!

1. Fish Island SEA

I am absolutely obsessed with this addictive game. And so is Airiel by the way, although I must say it is not game for small kids.

As you can see, this is NOT a joke. This a dead serious, sexy, bona fides, serious fishing game. It has 600 over types of fish to catch, numerous locations, and hundreds of special items to help you on your quest to become the ultimate angler!! Ok maybe not so serious in light of the panda outfit, hahaha.

Catch pretty fish to sell them for money, or put them in your aquarium for special perks! You have daily quests and location quests and there is a special set of fishes for each location which you complete and get special items to move you along!.

See how obsessed I am! Haha.

Alright readers. Enough rambling for Friday. Work awaits. Hugss.

P.S - 1. I do not own these pictures and they are credited to their respective owners; and

         2. Warning, these games are extremely addictive. Download at your OWN risk.

Final Fantasy XIII

Hello Everyone

While I was left alone at home sementara semua org pergi beraya this year, I took up my FFXIII game and started playing it.

I mean I bought the game like 2 years ago but with the presence of Airiel at the time, I had to make a conscious decision to not play the game and concentrate on him instead.

I try and make time for like an hour a day these days after Airiel has gone to bed to play, but its really not easy to balance out the time.

Anyways, let me just tell you its a visually stunning game. I mean I have tried all manner of Western made games, and it is just falls short of what the Japanese games can do when it comes to a feast for your eyes.

Aren't the graphics awesome?

That being said, I was surprised that this was even a Final Fantasy series to begin with. When I started playing it, it had no similarities to any of the previous Final Fantasy games I have played ( and yes, I have played and completed ALL of them). Having played Final Fantasy since SNES days, I was really surprised at how linear the game was for the most part of it.

No towns? No mini games? No chocobo raising? No exploring and wasting time finding weird armor or stealing super rare items from monsters? These were always, always common themes present in ALL final fantasy titles.

And the battle system was different and did not allow for much creativity on a player's part maybe except for the switching of the paradigms. Because choosing your own battle action slows down your ATB gauge, you end up letting it go automatic.

So so sad I was.

But then I suppose once you get over the initial shock of how different things are, the game is not all that bad.   Storyline is epic (as is all FF titles) and whilst everything is an adjustment, you have to give credit to EA for trying something different.

Only maybe not SOOOO different next time ok EA?

Whilst I usually replay all FF games I complete a couple of times, I don't think I will be replaying FFXIII once I complete it. Simply because, I didn't think I missed anything (Yes, it was that LINEAR).

I got my hands on FFXIII-2. But I am so, so excited about FFXIII versus coming out. Is it true its coming out in December 2012?

Can't wait for that one, the trailer is AWESOME!! Take a look

Have a good week ahead, whatever's left of it. I shall be dreaming about Versus!

My Diablo III experience

Warning, spoilers ahead. Please leave if you do not want to know how the game ends.

I have completed Diablo III, Normal mode!

Now, the background story to Diablo III takes place some 20 years after Diablo II. Deckard Cain is back (aye, he is!) with a charming little lady called Leah (who unfortunately as you will learn later, is special for a bad, bad reason).

Anyways, we are back in Tristram or New Tristram as it is called (you would know that the original Tristram was completely destroyed in Diablo II). Events have unfolded and we see a star falling from the sky into the Cathedral in New Tristram. We arrive as the Nephalem (no matter what class you choose - for me it is the Barbarian of course!). In a nutshell, let me just tell you the important events in the game:-

1. Deckard Cain dies later on in the game;
2. Leah is the daughter of Adria (remember her in the original Diablo?) and the Dark Wanderer (that would be you aka King Leoric's son in the original Diablo who defeated Diablo the first time and decided to contain Diablo within himself - ahhh what a dashing hero he was); and
3. Archangel Tyrael (from Diablo II) strips his own wings and chooses to be human to fight with us; and
4. Leah's body will eventually be controlled and completely taken over by the essence of Diablo and his lesser evil brothers, and unite to become the Primevil, the Legion.

Now I know the reviews for Diablo III varies from some saying that it is a great game to some completely hating it, simply because I think the fans waited years for this game and was expecting way too much from it.

The Pros and Cons

1. Diablo III has a pretty linear storyline, but in my opinion it is way better and more complex than that of Diablo and Diablo II. That being said, anybody who wants a complex, layered storyline and quests should go play an RPG game you get what I mean?. It is a hack and slash game, and it stays true to that genre, which I am glad it did.

2. The game is way too short for me. I did not play it religiously (I do have a day job to think about) but I managed to complete the entire game in about less than a month. I wished it dragged on longer, and perhaps the dungeons and monsters could drag on and on (remember  the dungeons in Diablo? All the 32 levels I think? That was so cool and painful at the same time) but alas, most dungeons would not go on for more than a few levels. But then again I have not played nightmare mode yet, so we will see;

3. What I absolutely love about Diablo III though are the random items, and the auction house. There are some really insane powerful items out there, with amazing powers, the possibilities are endless which you can bid and buy out;

4. The best Diablo III feature which has been the underlying theme in all Diablo games so far is the random game generator. You know when you leave the game and resume it later, the terrain, monsters are never, ever the same. It makes the game always exciting and the replayability of it endless; and

5. And the best thing is, this time around your follower gets to equip stuff and have a personality and level up with their own unique skills! I found the banter with my faithful templar follower quite entertaining!

So what kind of rating do I give this game, a solid 8/10! It is a good, solid game which will keep you entertained for months and years to come!.

Now go out and get yourself a copy!

Playing Sims 3 on My Mac

To reward myself for all the hard work I did last year, I bought myself the complete set of Sims 3 (original ok?). It cost me a bomb, but what the heck... I sure as hell deserved it hehehe.

And you thought that spending so much money on the damn thing was hard? Trust me, it was even harder to install on the mac. The CDs bought can be used to install the game on both normal pc and mac.

Ok, let me list down the sims 3 packs I bought, in the order is has to be installed. Installing it in a particular order ensure that the game runs smoothly, although I have seen some people just going crazy with the installation and not having a problem at all, so I suppose it just depends on your luck.

Ok, back to my list:-

  1. Sims 3 Deluxe (this include the basegame and Ambitions);
  2. World Adventures Expansion Pack;
  3. High End Loft Stuff Pack;
  4. Ambitions (which comes with the basegame deluxe version I bought);
  5. Fast Lane Stuff Pack;
  6. Late Night Expansion Pack;
  7. Outdoor Living Stuff Pack;
  8. Generations Expansion Pack; and
  9. Town Life Stuff Pack.
Ok, so I know that Sims 3 came out with the Pets Expansion Pack recently, but I'm not big on taking care of virtual pets and according to The Sims Resource ("TSR") my fave website for anything and everything sims, it can screw with your custom content, so I didn't buy it.

Anyways, after installing all the above in order, I couldn't start the game. After twiddling with the system a bit, I realised the Ambitions Expansion Pack was messing with my game. So I uninstalled everything and reinstalled everything else in order except Ambitions and voila, the game could start!!!. Wee hee..!!!  Now don't forget to install the patches in between installs, no worries as it is automated, they would ask you whether you wanted to download an update.

Now, here comes the tricky part which is the custom content, I downloaded like a ton of custom content and of course, all of it disappeared. Downloading a majority of my custom content of TSR, i only deal with Sims3pack content and generally don't bother downloading other formats i.e. packages etc.

Solution? Well, I had to reinstall all the custom content again. To make sure it shows up in the EA downloader, I opened up a Downloads folder in the Sims 3 folder after re-installing it and yehaaa, it works!

I am still in the midst of re-installing all my Sims3pack, tedious but makes the gameplay a hell of a lot more fun!!

And you guys thought I'd buy a bag!! Hahahaha, erkkkk actually I did that too...but that's for another post.

I promise I'd write posts about the food in Krabi, but have not gotten around to doing it yet. I promise I'll do it! Promise!!

Later!!

Makan -makan Thaipusam

Yesterday was a holiday, spent the day with Airiel for most part but squeezed time to also...

Watch the Tourist

I was reluctant to watch the movie after the less than flattering reviews I have read, but since that is the only movie that was available during Airiel's naptime, tgk jelah. Verdict? It was not really that bad of a movie. The storyline was ok, there was some interesting moments, its just that I think when you pair 2 really great actors on screen, people would expect so much more out of everything and an ok just does not cut it for someone of the likes of Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp.

Buy some PS3 games

Those close to me would know how much of an RPG gamer I am. Aries is quite the gamer addict himself (1st person shooter games, racing games and God of War kinda), although that obsession has somewhat subsided after he started playing golf.

I bought FFXIII when it first came out but never got around to playing it because at the time, there were no English subtitles or voice overs, only japanese ones. Yesterday we went to Gamer's Hideout and got 2 new games, my coveted FFXIII in English and Battlefied:Bad Company 2. Just started playing my FFXIII and I know I will take a while to finish, sebab nak main pon kena ikut time Airiel tido. Well, let's see.

Makan-makan yummy

Hehe, we went to Kampung Baru to our fave place, Restoran LaLa...sedap tak terkira!!! Biar gambar menjelaskan yummy itu:-

Muka skandal pada malam itu...

Teh O Ais and Asamboi panas

Kerabu Kaki Ayam

Ayam Goreng Petai

Telur Dadar

Brokoli Sos Tiram

Sambal yg sangat mantap!!!

Sotong Stim Asam Limau...

Berapa kilo naik sebab makan semua itu pukul 11 malam? Tak mahu kira buat masa ni huhu...

Try Machos Nachos A & W

This is A &W's new dish.. I somehow do not think it was real nachos from the looks of it and the sauce is actually just their topping for their coney dog. So ok ok jerla..

How did you guys enjoy your Thaipusam hol? hehe

Selamat hujung minggu readers!

Idza's top 6 RPG Game Countdown

I have a secret..(not so secretlah)

I am an avid PC RPG Gamer. Sadly however, these days I do not get to play games that much as it has been overshadowed by my other passions i.e. my job (yes, I am passionate about it), my son, my family and Aries.

But my love for it has not faded. It lingers inside. I am sure that when all my kids have grown up and I am entering retirement, I'll be holed up in my room, saving a kingdom from evil..hehe

So anyways. Here is my top 6 most fave RPG games ever!!!

6 - Final Fantasy VII

I was so obsessed with this game. I think it took me about 6 months to complete. After that I played it 2 more times. The characters each have their own developed storyline and quests in finding themselves. Tifa, Cloud,Aeris, Menina..ahhhh the memories..

The graphics were like so grand at the time it came out. But I tell you when Advent Children came around (pic as below), it was just awesomeness. This is my fave character by the way..

He is so hot for an undead guy!!!!

5 - Final Fantasy VIII

My No. 5 on the list. With an engaging love triangle - love comes slowly sort of storyline. The characters touches your heart. The woman in the pic is Rinoa by the way.

4 - Final Fantasy VI

The game is absolutely a classic. It has I think one of the longest storylines in Final Fantasy history and like a ton of characters. Terra, Celes, Locke, the espers.. wow...i get excited remembering how great it was. Graphics was 2D but the story engages you to the core. I would play it all over again if I had the time.

3 - Final Fantasy IV

I cannot begin to tell you how much I love this game. Being an early installment of the Final Fantasy series, the graphics are not much to look at. But this was one game that moved me to tears time and time again while playing. Love, hatred and sacrifice was the underlying theme of the game and the cut scenes was touching and at time even heart wrenching to watch. It definitely is, in my opinion the best Final Fantasy game of the whole series.

These are my favourite characters, the twins Palom and Porom. They turned themselves to stone later in the game to save the main hero in the game. Needless to say I cried buckets.

2. Baldur's Gate - Shadows of Amn

The endless side-quests, mystery, the fact that romance can be forged between characters throughout the storyline, the endless banter between the characters, the fact that the game can be tweaked or mods can be installed are just some of the reasons why I love this game. Every time I played and re-played the game, there is always something new. The possibilites of the storyline was just endless. It was pure addiction.

1. Arcanum

This is by far, the best RPG game that I have ever played. I played and re-played the game about 10 times and have always found something new. Just like Baldur's Gate, there are extensive modders out there who mods the game to add new quests and items to the game. The mysterious storyline, character and the fact that the realism of the game just takes you in.

Thinking about theses games makes me salivate, literally. Damn, need to find these games. I bet they are collector's items now and are almost impossible to find.

Try them out gamers! You will not be disappointed ..!!!
